Cats and Critters
The crew of recued, fostered, and/or adopted cats and other critters.
Lila
The Boss. Lila appeared at my home as a kitten during a thunderstorm. Intending to foster her until a permanent home could be found, we took her in. Temporary turned to permanent and she found her forever home with us where she quickly became the boss.
Lily
Lily came to our back door full grown and ready to be a house cat. She made fast friends with Lila and I had to take her in. The Boss told me so. She co-manages with Lila and has a quiet, gentle way of keeping everyone in line.
Bear Cub and Minnie
This brother and sister duo were brought to me at a few weeks old. They were inseparable and I knew needed to be adopted together. After being long-term fosters (for about 6 months) they found the perfect forever home and are living their best life.
Momma and her meatballs
This Momma cat was a testament to how fast you need to TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) a community cat. Her and her litter of five kittens were adopted thanks to the help of Hope For Life Rescue in Virginia. https://www.hopeforliferescue.com/
Mockingbird
A Mockingbird that could not fly! This critter was rescued and rehabilitated thanks to the help of Carolina Waterfowl Rescue. https://www.cwrescue.org/
Mouse #3
Unpopular opinion here, but mice are adorable! The homeowner with mice in the house rarely thinks so though. This baby and about half dozen of his friends were relocated to a wooded area far from the house to live in peace.
